Obtaining Your Guard Card

Some companies will pay the fee required for you to enroll in the guard card training course so it is important that you ask about it while applying for jobs.
If you are responsible for obtaining your own guard card, you will need to call 408.246.8585 or go online to and select Guard Card- Level 1 Training
The fee is $144 which includes the training course AND the livescan fingerprinting which will also be required by your future employer.
After completion of the course, you will be given instructions on how to verify your new guard card online, and then you will have to pay an additional fee of $51 to the state (BSIS) for registration/processing fees.
Within a few days you should be able to view and print a temporary Guard Card from the BSIS website to use until your official copy arrives via US Mail.
